We stood today, for the first time ever, on the most Western tip of Africa . Strange feeling, as if I 'own' the right to stand here since some of my ancesters arrived here more than 300 hunderd years ago.
The Kaapse fynbos fauna is just like a garden God have planted - no further upkeep needed. The tiniest little scrub or flower will cling to the side of a rock, no soil, shelter or water in sight.Yet it flowers! Awesome !
Our camera broke on the way here.Sorry, no photos(thus the previous day's photo at the Castle) - you will have to trust me on this : It is spectacular !!
We left Cape Point to visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town city. Wonderful place ! Concentrating the beauty of the fynbos all in one place. Here lots of human effort and money is invested to produce this wonderful garden for all to enjoy. Worth an all-day visit.
I am grateful that God have created me in a way that I can appreciate this beauty He created. And to consider: If mankind is there or not there to see it - He created this abundance for His own shear enjoyment.

Ahh this picture reminded me of a photo I had seen on the internet of Newfoundland, (land of the weirdos ;))! I was so surprised because I never knew about rock being higher then me in CANADA (except in ALberta of course, maybe ontario too)!
So I have realised how little I know about my own countries landscape, I have not gone far in Canada.
Ofcourse land in South Africa is much more beautiful and rocky then here, sometimes the prairies make me so depressed.
Thanks for writing this.
